NEM Wallet Rejects Password

I have a NEM wallet that was working fine this morning. Completed a large transfer, closed the wallet, and now when I attempt to reopen it, it will NOT accept my password. I’ve tried reloading it by downloading a new wallet and reopening it using the “start.html” and “package.json” files. Still will not accept my password. I’ve tried the sign-up mode using the “Private key wallet” option but my private key pulls up another wallet. I have my total savings on this wallet. So, I’m kinda’ freaking out right now. Can you help?

  1. I have all files associated with this wallet.
  2. I have screenshots of what my dashboard is supposed to look like.
  3. I’m absolutely certain the password is correct.

I’m wondering. Is there an issue with Mijin? It’s a long shot, but my other wallets are working fine on Mainnet.

I have ever happened a similar problem. You can try the following ways:
(1) change your web browser to Chrome or Firefox
(2) c:\users\your user name\nem\ncc\ - find accounts_cache_mainnet.json and delete it
(3) restart nis-ncc and waiting for synchronization finish and then log in.

Thank you michael8908. I sincerely appreciate your prompt response, but unfortunately the solution didn’t apply. I should have mentioned the fact that I’m using a Mac, so there was no such file name /nem/ncc. I searched another path for the /nem/ncc/ file and even the cashe_mainnet.json, but was unable to find anything. I did find the package.json file, temporarily deleted that, and then tried re-starting my wallet, but the browser (Chrome) remained blank.

It could be a Mac issue, but I’m only guessing. Any additional guidance would be greatly appreciated.

How did you save the password? Are you using a password manager? Some password managers allow you to look at past password, maybe you changed the password by accident.

I don’t think this is a mac issue, or a NIS issue.

btw mainnet is not using Mijin.

In the finder window on mac, search for ‘.wlt’, try importing them all into nanowallet, and testing your password on them.
