New and stupid!

A previous user stated the following and I’m having the very same issue, and I’ve decided that I need OUT of this stuff. Please help me recover my funds and say goodbye!

I"m very new to cryptocurrency. I have Bitcoin and Xem. I am trying to send Xem from my Nano Wallet to Coinbase.

When I populate the fields to send to Coinbase from Nano Wallet, I put my Coinbase address into the form, then I enter the amount of Xem I wish to send, correct?
I create a message, whatever.
There are two boxes to check (encrypt message) or (mosaic transfer).
I’m not allowed to check “encrypt message” so I check “mosaic transfer”, whatever the fuck that is…

This creates a new form on the same page.

Then I have to re enter the amount of Xem to send.
Then it gives me the total.
Then a box that says Levy (none)?
Then I enter my password again.

I hit the send button and the transaction should occur, however, the cursor goes bye-bye and the send button will no longer function.

There are no errors or anything. Nothing happens at all.

This is exceptionally confusing to an idiot like me, but fascinating nonetheless. I have very cold feet and I’d like to bail out, put everything in Bitcoin, and then cash out and go buy a new tractor or fishing rod…
I’ve a feeling that my very small amount invested in XEM will never be recovered.

Any help is appreciated!
Thank you

First of all Coinbase.com dosent have a wallet for Xem. Only Bitcoin, Litecoin and Eth.

If you want to send xem to an exchange which actually support storing xem, you only need to enter the adreess and in some cases a message which is given from the exchange you try to send. The message works for them as an identifier to store the xem in the correct wallet.

Encrypt and Mosaic transfer not needed in that case.

If you want to change xem to bitcoin use changelly.com.

As @Flake already have written. You can use only XEM address to send xem. Probably you use bitcoin address because coinbase doesn’t support xem (yet)
