New to cryptocurrency and NEM and have questions about harvesting

Hello all,

I only recently started looking in to crypto/nem a short time ago so a lot of this is foreign to me. I’m really excited about nem and I want to start harvesting but I am not in a position to purchase the full 10000 nem (it would cost me 6000) right off the bat.

Is it possible to start harvesting with less then that but just leave it alone until it reaches the threshold? Or slowly add to the 10000 nem overtime while it works it’s way to being vested?

If not, is there a way to join up with others in the same situation to start harvesting on a small scale?

Hey right know harvesting is not realy the deal so i have 13k nem vested and i do 46nem every 2-3month. So upgrading to 10k only for that reason or puting time into networking for this reason wont be such a smart thing. but having 10k o xem might just bring you some more money since market irs going up.

i am sure that the harvesting will get better in the futur.

Thanks for the reply.

So I guess I shouldn’t really be in too much of a rush to get to the 10000. I can probably just consistently buy each week and it won’t matter too much. I’m just worried that it might take off then the jump in price will drag process out even more for me.

yes if it gets high you need more money for the 4k. right know its not bad. but we could be in a bitcoin bubble and if it blows, many other currencys will drop also becaus of the fud, and price might be better. i think n entry befor 70 cents is good.

Of course you can collect week by week and when iy will be 10k you can activate harvesting. You need 10000 Vested. How it’s calculated vested balance you can find here http://nem-tools.com/#/calculator

I was hoping there might be a way to passively generate coins on a small scale to increase my overall balance, however the more I read about nem it looks like to have such a process would undermine the poi system.

Thanks for the calculator I was looking around for one but could only find dead links.
