NIS is running on AWS Server but NanoWallet says Offline

Hi there,

I have successfully installed NIS on Ubuntu 16.04 … the heartbeat command in a browser indicates all is well. See http://52.59.140.10:7890/heartbeat

I even have some API calls checking specific mosaics that also work fine.

However, when trying to connect to that node in the Mist nanoWallet running in Windows 10, it says that the node appears to be offline. The ports are all open correctly but looks as though something has been missed.

Please advise.

Hey there, I tried connecting to your node as well, but was unable to as well.

Did you follow this guide? There are a lot of steps required to getting a NIS functioning properly on AWS

Specifically this step:
Add the following rules:
Type: Custom TCP, Port Range: 7890, Source: Anywhere (for NIS)
Type: Custom TCP; Port Range 7880, Source: Anywhere (for servant)
Type: Custom TCP, Port Range 7778, Source: Anywhere (for light wallets)
