I installed the latest NEM software yesterday, but NIS keeps synchronising, blocks increase (4043 at the moment), but can't use things like delegated harvesting…
Any thoughts?

Of course the blocks keep increasing. What exactly is the error your getting or the problem you are experiencing.
Maybe show us a screenshot if possible.

Bar is yellow at the top. Can't send coins or can't start remote harvesting. In the bottomright, the systembar is not all green, like the beta was? It says NIS not synced…

It seems that the client can't connect to the internet.
Plz try making exceptions for the client and Java in the windows firewall.
Firewall was disabled. I am behind NAT router, but traffic to the internet is completely open. No forwarded ports though. Is that needed?

It shouldn't be needed to sync no.
Plz try to access any server in your web browser. e.g. http://chain.nem.ninja:7890/node/info
If that doesn't work you definitely have a problem with gettinga connection to the network.
Works.
Get the metadata text info.

Okay, so it really isn't about the port being blocked.
Hmm....
Could you upload your logs ? They are in the nem folder which depending on your OS is located in the "home" directory of your user.

Plz check your system time. Is it way off ?
Your node seems to be receiving blocks but rejects them because they are too far in the future.
That's it! Thank you so much! Was running in a VM and somehow the time was 2 hours off…
Glad it works now. Have fun !
