Nodes vs supernodes?

Can someone explain me the difference?

I’m harvesting with my standalone wallet, does that mean i’m running a node? I know you need 3 million nem to run a supernode but i don’t understand if im running a node just by harvesting.

Also, my standalone wallet says there’s a new update but i can’t find the link to download the new version.

If you are using an NCC wallet on your own, the NIS server is automatically running on your local PC as well.

The difference from the super node is that there is a premise that the NIS server is open to the outside. In addition, you need to install a program for SuperNode additionally.

NIS used in NCC is, as it were, a NIS server for local PCs.

With the newly developed NanoWallet, we do not need NIS for the local PC and we use SuperNode on the net.

NCC (with NIS) can be downloaded from here.
