Nothing showing on Dashboard...?

I’ve just created my Nano Wallet, but along the top, where it says ‘NanoWallet’ there’s nothing else there.

This was very confusing as there was no way to send or receive XEM, so I looked on YouTube and the demo’s show a load of functionality buttons to do everything right next to where it says NanoWallet at the very top.

Did I sign into something else? It says “Welcome to Nano Wallet Beta”. Did I do something wrong?

Otherwise the Dashboard has ‘Confirmed’ and "Unconfirmed’ but not functionality keys to do anything.

I use a MacBookPro - OS MacSierra version 10.12.5

It’s very confusing - any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I’m missing something really simple!

The node you’re connected to is most likely offline, you can check this by looking at this circle:
If it’s red you need to click it and in the window that pops up select another node from the node list.

Thank you very much empers, I will try that.

However, now I try to log in again, it tells me my password is invalid. But I’m copying and pasting my password exactly and it was working before…

I may start again from scratch with a new wallet. I’ve created two so far as I didn’t know about the Node thing, so I may purge them both and just start again. No biggie. Thanks again for the support.

No problem, that password thing is very strange I’ve not heard that before. Also once you decide to put any funds in a wallet make sure to backup the private key. So that you don’t permanently loose access to your wallet.

Great, thanks. I’ll make sure I do that!

Hi empers, need your help, I encountered the exact same error like @fiji , followed you suggestion, I selected the entire Nodes list (a total of 8 of them, ex 62.75.171.41 … alice7.nem.ninja, localhost) I tried every node in the list and I getting that “red” circle to the left of “Node” for every node. is it possible that they are all offline? Any suggestion to find a green one?
Thanks in advance

No that seems very unlikely, what could be happening is that your firewall is blocking the port that nem uses. Check your firewall settings and you could also try a different browser once
