NuBits and NuShares - 1:1 dollar

Hi, saw this coin? Stable coin that has remained within the expected price.

Official site: https://nubits.com/

This is negotiated in a peculiar exchange, With this is apparently centralized.

That shit should be the new king
BTC pissed me off
All the altcoins are dead because of BTC crash
With Nubits it's simple 1 NBT= 1$
No volatility

Why not just own dollars?

True, if you want 1:1 Dollar then just own 1 Dollar Bill  :P

Doesn't look too interesting.

Centralization Public VS private:
I prefer the public, has more guarantees.  :stuck_out_tongue:

That's where they had their first official release of nubits. It was quickly adopted by many other exchanges.

This is an ignorant comment.

For the exact reason every other cryptocoin exists. To allow p2p transfer of value.

So this thing is pegged with dollars or do they intend to somehow ensure that it will always be worth at least 1 dollar ?

The former sounds like a really dumb idea and the latter somewhat impossible.

They are making sure it will always be equal to $1 usd until which it fails. Then it will go to 0. They acheive this through a system similar to the federal reserve. But it is all decentralised and the risk, volatility and decisions are all passed to nushares.

I'm not a big fan, I personally believe eMunie will achieve the status of the least volatile coin, amoung other achievements (when it is released) but for now it is definitely a great and interesting achievement.

BitBay is also attempting to do a similar type of pegging, but it remains to be seen if the developer can recover from the debacle that was the launch of that coin.
