Also, it's looking like holding the vote here is not such a great idea.
I hate to change something that has already been decided, but we can't make a decision based on 15 or 20 votes either. If something isn't working we have to change it. Our main problem is that it takes too long to make a change in this community right now.
There are 3000 stakes, and over 1000 unique stakeholders on the list easily. Then, those that have come from the asset exchange.
The point is to pick a the logo that everyone likes the most.
I fully understand that the idea is to do important things here, to get people to migrate here. This idea is one I stand behind and support fully, and it will work in the end. It's starting to work already.
This plan is just too new. It hasn't been around long enough to be effective to the point that we can have a fair logo vote here.
Just look at the vote. Makotos logo has much more support than the votes it has recieved. Perfect example. I didn't vote for it btw.
If we hold the vote on BTT it will be more fair. We just don't have enough impact in migration yet.
And I really don't like the arguement "if they care about it enough, they will come here" That's not the point. We are trying to get a logo that the community at large likes the most. It has been narrowed down enough that I believe all will serve their purpose for a logo, other than the one with no votes, but that's just my opinion.
What do we do with the votes here? Close it and those people can vote again on BTT. They are all commited members. There is also, like I said only 15 or so.
Imagine the backlash if this logo is voted on and there are only 35 submissions to a community of this scope. We don't need that right now. We need people focused on more positive things.
EDIT: Looks like its working just fine, sweet!!! plenty of people are coming. at this pace it will be very fair
