Open Alpha Starts Now

I'd like to also point out the following usability problems:
1. The search button does not work, you need to press <Enter> while the focus is on the "Search" field in order to submit.
2. The search input field is too short.
3. The "Transaction Info" frame is closed when you click it. This makes it difficult to copy/paste information from this window. It makes more sense to close it only when click the Red X.
(Using Chrome for all tests but it seems to work the same with IE)

Thx for the feedback. I will forward it to the block explorer coder.

Hello robin

I have answered here:
http://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2298.msg3668#msg3668

May I suggest you Stick the One Click Install in its own place with instructions on the Forum Post it
self instead of the HTML Doc that is currently linked to the One Click Install.

I have had several people contact me saying they can't find the link for the One Click Install and I
know its right at the Bottom of the Post however no everybody is scrolling down far enough.

Please take this into consideration guys we want to make this as easy as possible for everybody
that wants to participate in the Alpha Testing Stage to do so with least amount of effort.

Using the OneStep installer on Windows 8.1 can I expect my wallet to be located under %userprofile%\ncc or %userprofile%\nem? Should I back up these wallets? Secondly if in the future I want to associate the accounts created can you explain the info I need?

I thought the private key was my "brain" wallet but I guess I am confused with NXT

I'm not sure if here is the write place, but taking a breaf look at the block explorer, the search says: search for anything… and it doesnt find the block height.

If you wish take a look at ancient blocks, you need to come back all manually. Probably causes more server load.

I'd like to search the block height ( block 2 as example). It retorn a error message.

Cheers!!

The right thread would have been the blockexplorer thread. But it's noted :)

Alpha 0.7.5 update, download and installation worked correctly with Java 1.8_11 64 bit but (again) the browser window wasn't launched automatically the first time. I did not keep the client logs so next time this happens I'll provide it.

Other than that things seems to work correctly except for the function "Add an existing account" which resulted in the following message:
"An error occured that the development team did not have foreseen. Appologies for this, maybe a retry might help. Otherwise, please open up an issue within the NEM NIS/NCC community" so I'm informing you about this, also note the spelling mistakes, nothing useful shows up in the NIS and NCC logs.
I also don't understand the "ADD AN EXISTING ACCOUNT" dialog, I guess the private key is my passphrase but is the password ?

are you talking about webstart or the normal (shell) version?
If i start ncc from shell that is expected behavior for me. I dont want ncc to start a browser window every time i run it, that would be completely useless and would cause problems if you run it on remote server and only want to use the api.

I hope he's talking about webstart, as for standalone this is EXPECTED. (not launching the browser)

Webstart, if I recall the browser was already open at time on the Webstart link. I expected it to create another tab pointing at the Nem client.

That should happen yes.
Could you provide your system specs ?

Please, if you have a node running, upgrade it to V0.0.75 now: http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart/

Prob just had to redownload the chain ?

Just for info: Height is the number of the current block on netwrok.

[li]in headless mode, you can use provided nis_headless_boot.py script (python 2.7), it requires requests lib: http://docs.python-requests.org/en/latest/ (on debian based distro it should be in python-requests package)[/li]

There's no nis_headless_boot.py script in 0.0.75

Is there another way to boot authomatically at start?
