Hi everybody,
The father of my boyfriend and myself are on the sock puppet list because we use the same computer.
We are willing to give identification and proof of this. We had to send Makoto a message on BTT.
-No answer.
-I've send Patmast3r a message and he told me to be patient.
-I've send Makoto a message on this forum. He replied me with the following:
"Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. Things are pretty busy with launch, but after that is done I will handle sock complaints again with Patmast3r.
If it is decided to give you the stake(s) back, then we will just send you the XEM post-launch."
I hope everybody agrees that this is really outrageous. Then I mean:
-Not reacting until launch.
-Saying it still has to be decided if I'm a sock puppet or not.
-Not giving my XEM before launch.
I understand everybody is busy with launch, but we are part of NEM just as much as everybody.
If you appoint somebody to handle this situation, then that person should handle it and
shouldn't send a message like this, if launch is only a few hours away.
I've been patient, but this is not the way of handling with investors and the NEM community.
The excuses of Patmast3r on the end of the sock puppet thread for all people who are accused wrongly,
are not really getting to me right now.
I sure hope this is being put handled before launch.
I suggest you may have to proof your identity and provide everything you can, for example, when was the transaction done and who claimed first, how was it done, location it was done, was it done on from the same Internet connection as well, same computer, OS used, etc.
But could it be that there are other things that put you on a high suspect list? Whilst I understand your anguish, I also understand the problems facing the team. There were hundreds of suspected socks and I believe a substantial portion of the stakeholders were socks. Do note that the weeding of socks is indeed a very extensive work and that it is unfortunate that genuine ones like you are lumped into the same category. But it is also unfortunate that a lot of genuine ones did not on their part care to take note on the potential of being termed a sock by doing what you have done.
I sincerely do not think it is the fault of the team to have identified yourselves as socks. In fact, it proved that the method used by the team did in fact work on sorting out socks. But that's beside the point.
The problem here is, you have created a situation for the team to believe that you are a sock and that they will have to be dealt with one by one. And everyone should be equally served in that same order of priority, i.e., first come first serve.
I replied via PM already, but Pat and I will process your appeal within the next 1-2 weeks. We want to take everyone's case very seriously, so it takes a lot of time to go through and consider each person's appeal.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but please just relax and celebrate the launch for now.
I moved this to the Help section because it does not belong in News and Alerts. It seems like you are already in the process of being taken care of by makoto and pat so hopefully your issue gets squared away.

I only see this now, I understand my post was moved. This is an answer I can deal with.
I will get those details a.s.a.p.
Yes, that is besides the point, because I do understand that aswell. I'm only frustrated and mostly dissapointed in the way this is communicated ( 1 day before launch) and saying there's nothing they can do anymore.
I would like to harvest as-well from the genesis block on, I've been waiting so long for this moment and now I just got a bad taste in my mouth because of this.
WTF, these guys have bent over backwards to be fair and accommodating, You show up at the last minute crying foul. Something smells like limberger cheese
Not last minute, definitly not. Calling people fouls while you don't know the real story isn't also the way to go.
If they were fair in handling the sock puppet situation, then they would've handled all the wrongly accused
accounts before launch. They have been postponing launch a lot of times and they always said:
"We only go online if everything is settled".
This should be one of the things that should've been settled before launch, or better communication about how they would handle this.
