Pain in the A** - Nem NIS, exporting and complicated steps for average user

I am really stressed out right now. The NIS client that i used to run keeps getting stuck at block 211000 approx. I have tried to synch for 2 days now. Getting about 1 block per hour. This is rediculous. I deleted my client file so i tried entering via mobil wallet. Not possible. I then read that you need to export to nano which now is not possible because i deleted the NIS client.

Your technology is not ready for the everyday user. I have less problems using the IOTA Tangle which in itself is pain in the A**. Nem tops this by miles

NANO Wallet is one of the most user friendly IMO, have you tried Nano wallet?

NIS is not a client it’s the full node server software. If you’re talking about NCC then I’m not surprised you think it’s a pain in the ass, that’s why it’s been deprecated.
You don’t need to sync at all. Just use Nano use a remote node. In regards to why your NIS didn’t sync. I don’t know but it’s a problem on your end since nobody else has it. But like I said, you don’t even need NIS.
Mobile wallet wasn’t possible ? Why ?

If all you had done is download nano and created an account there you’d have been fine. That’s not complicated at all.

You are making things way more difficult than they have to be. You do not need to run NIS, ever. In both NCC and Nanowallet, you can securely connect to a remote NIS, no chain syncing needed.
In NCC, you can change the NIS you connect to in the settings menu at the login screen.

BS. It is a pain in the ass and Nano Wallet is not one of the best designed wallets out there.

To the original questioner:

Go here: C:\Users\Your_User_Name\nem\nis\data

Delete the files.

Go to the Bob server (randomly referenced in older NCC / NIS guides) download the most up to date “nis5_mainnet.h2” copy to the same directory: C:\Users\Your_User_Name\nem\nis\data

Start NIS again. That will probably solve your problem.

Saul: I ran a NIS node before, I want to run one now. Because I want to harvest locally. It shouldn’t be so damn complicated to get working. NEM is a royal pain in the ass.

And Saul, no, using the older NCC you could not work with it until NIS was synced. Sounds like you never used it.

I have used it many times. You can choose a new NIS to connect to, even if your local NIS is not synced.

I answered your question in another thread. Please stop spamming our forum.
