Instead of placing the latest database files on bob.nem.ninja, would be good to have them in bittorrent. the download from bob.nem.ninja is really slow (getting 210kb/s on average, have a 25Mbit connection) and just as slow as syncing through NIS… maybe spread the load around? 
Downloaded standalone version in less than 20sec. Download speed of my Internet connection 50mbps.
