Possible Lost Wallet (Early 2016)

Hi,

I recently started getting into cryptocurrencies again and I remember I helped out with design mockups for a NEM Lightwallet for class credit at my college. I remember a guy named Makoto asked my class for our help, but I can’t seem to find any email records from him. He invited me into 2-3 Telegram chats with various NEM teams. I remember he was going to school in Japan but used to attend my college at some point. I also remember collaborators being from different countries, I think one guy was a professor from South Korea. I know this is kinda vague but it’s been over a year and I didn’t really communicate with anyone other than Makoto. Even then, I had other classes to focus on, so NEM wasn’t my biggest focus at the time. I think this all happened around winter of 2016 to give you all a timeline.

Anyways, I have some backed up files. Like my mock ups for a mobile NEM lightwallet application that was pretty simple, but was aimed towards the requirements of my class. I also have access to a Google document with comments from various collaborators about NCCGUIv2? Finally, I also have some beta files that I believe creates a node of some sort. I don’t really remember the details, I just remember having to run some scripts in a certain order to get it going. Anyways, I remember having to look at some sort of desktop GUI in order to figure out how I wanted to design a mobile lightwallet.

I guess what my main concern is, is it possible I have a wallet laying around somewhere? It’s been so long I don’t even remember if I ever got any actual XEM, but figured I should at least look into it.

Sorry if my information is all over the place or if some of the details aren’t that helpful. It’s just been a while now.

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried asking Makoto, i guess you still have some email address of his?

search for a file with a “.wlt” extension. If you have some XEM, it will be in a file with that extension. Then you will also need to remember the password. Most likely you would have used NCC wallet to store the XEM at that time.

If you used the Lightwallet, then your XEM can be accessed if you remember the password, no wlt file needed.
