PrivateKey & psswrd - Account 0 balance - XEMs were in an account within the main one [Solved]

Hi guys, how are you?

I have my account number and password… but can’t find my wallet nowhere nor my private key… I have all my other coins’ wallets info except this one… fml.

I tried to look for Safari wallet files, is it something I can do with Chrome or Firefox? I am screwed, right?

Edit: I had a private key but thought I had the wrong one because my balance was 0 and it only showed one account.

You just said that you can’t find your wallet. Can you tell me how you access your wallet? IOS APP, MAC computer ,windows, through NCC, NanoWallet or other. Try to explain the situaltion in detail how you lost your wallet.:slight_smile: May be there is low chance.

  • I use to access it thru chrome or firefox
  • Safari stayed blank

I’m not sure if I created a second account inside the main one to receive the money

I have a private key but I get an account without a public key. Is it possible that account with the money is child of this one?

I’m not a professional. What do you mean by “I’m not sure if I created a second account inside the main one to receive the money” ? In my opinion, accounts are indepenent. Do you use NCC or Nanowallet?
1、serach your mac disk with *.wlt this kind of file. While find it(for example Helpplease.wlt). Make a backup and import it into nanowallet.
2、If you were once a NCC wallet user who jumped from NCC to Nanowallet. They maybe you dump a wallet into *.json ,so scan your disk for it(for example Helpplese.json).
3、I guess there is no change to restore you wallet from browser cache. So it does not matter weather browser you use.

if you open your account with nanowallet, it force you to download json, also it shows the private key moments before you open your wallet for the first time. I can’t believe people don’t take a second to print privatekey or download .json file.

And I recovered my wallet!

Stupid nano wallet app… I had the private key but when I signed up I could only see a different address associated with that key and it had a 0 balance, so I though that I have messed up when I saved the key…

I was reading stuff around and someone said that you could select your other accounts, but I never saw that option in the account page. So I clicked “+ add new account into wallet” to see what happens… and boom! my account with the xems reappeared. And now I am a millionaire… I always create a 2nd wallet inside the main account in order to receive money there.
