Question regarding to the NEM wallet

I bought some NEW back in June, I set up my wallet with complicated steps following the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eW4ftmOzfPk

I lost my old laptop, I only have back up of a zip file with xxx.adb and xxx.wlt
I wonder if theses two files can help me find my wallet?
Thanks!

Yes. This files are what you need but you also need password. Did you remember password?

If itā€™s a password I set up my self I will be able to find out. I do not remember the private keys tho.

Private keys are encrypted in your wlt file.
You should be able to import wallet into old NCC and next convert to nano wallet. NCC is no longer maintained.
You find guide in Saul post from Nano wallet Help [SOLVED]

I get this code from the terminal: INFO NEM Deploy 0.6.91-BETA shutdownā€¦ (org.nem.deploy.CommonStarter bootAndWait)

Also I wonder how do i get back to the old wallet website.

You can connect NCC to remote node. You should in this case change properties file.
I can write detailed instruction in 20h because I donā€™t have access to my notebook. If you need help asap please tell I try ask one from other users.

Yes, I would love to have someone you referring to help me. Thank you!

@Saul @mizunashi could you help with this issue?

When using a local NIS server, I think that it is better to update NIS only to 0.6.93.
Since chain synchronization may fail, there is a possibility of making something bad for NCC.

Try to the following procedure:
1st download the latest NCC from here https://bob.nem.ninja/last-ncc/nis-ncc-0.6.91.zip
2nd unpack the NCC
3rd open your consle on windows with start -> run -> type ā€œcmdā€ -> press enter
4th change to the folder of NCC
5th type runNcc.bat press enter
now you shold se some output in console

Let me know it this works for you.
To access the ncc type in you browser address bar http://127.0.0.1:7890
This should open the ncc in your browser.

Iā€™ve lost 16k NEM by using their wallet as itā€™s not fit for purpose. Unfortunately, because itā€™s decentralised and not a real company, unlike a bank if thereā€™s an issue you canā€™t ring up a help desk. A lot of people donā€™t understand this, its dangerous using their wallet and you have zero come back. When its gone its gone. Search NEM issues on YouTube for my issue you can clearly see is their fault. Itā€™s a common issue as well, loads of people have lot money this way. Iā€™ve got no where with NEM in 6 months. They donā€™t care its ā€˜decentralisedā€™ so they cant do anything. I sent Bitcoin from Trezor to a Poloniex Bitcoin Cash address and they could reverse the transaction. This is an exchange helping me. NEM cant do this, even though its their address. Until NEM sort out their issues I cant see it going anywhere. Be careful, you can store other coin more safely. They have also told me to take down the video, seems weird

@Conor_Clancy give us a break and do backups.

Iā€™m using a mac operating system, I donā€™t know to use the console on mac.

I tried both 0.6.93 and 0.6.91. No luck

With 0.6.93 I received this message Error: Could not find or load main class org.nem.deploy.CommonStarter
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.nem.deploy.CommonStarter

Under 0.6.91 It started to run in terminal but in the end I received 2017-12-09 17:26:47.720 INFO NEM Deploy 0.6.91-BETA shutdownā€¦ (org.nem.deploy.CommonStarter bootAndWait)

For me 0.6.91 run without any errors on Windows machine.

Problem you describe is same as here NCC is stopped - localhost refused to connect - please check if this works for you. Before you remove file mentioned please copy it somewhere because Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s contain important data or not. Instruction tells about location in Windows but on Mac should be something similar (nem/ncc)

I tried to search for the document accounts_cache_mainnet.json, couldnā€™t find it

And did you localized your nem/ncc catalog? I suggest you to try on other computer maybe.

I have tried on my windows laptop, didnā€™t see the file accounts_cache_mainnet.json.

@tomorrowcoin You have same problem when running NCC on windows ?
