Recover wallet with no file or private key

I created a wallet online through the official NEM website in 2016 and I’m struggling to get into it now. I can’t find the wallet file or private key anywhere and it doesn’t pull up in my browser.

All I have is the public key and the password for the wallet. I’m using the same laptop now as I did when I created the wallet. I’m guessing I somehow deleted the wallet file at some point unknowingly.

Is there anything I can do at this point or is it a lost cause?

You need to have private key or wallet file + password to have access to your wallet. If you don’t have private key and wallet file it’s not possible for simple wallet type. If you use before brain wallet and you remember passphrase you can create again brain wallet with same passphrase.
You can also search your filesystem for files with .wlt extension, maybe you also write down private key somewhere on paper or flash drive.
