Ripple is making important progress

Some interesting news about Ripple's progress: http://www.coindesk.com/us-banks-announce-ripple-protocol-integration/

Some corporate ass pays off i guess
I like the tech behind Ripple but the company seems to be too stuck in the old economy.
I hope Stellar takes of and would actually like to colaborate with them at some point.

iv never really liked the whole corporate thing behind ripple… just feel far too out of control of things… atleast with the likes of nxt or nem there isnt a company with profit driven motives behind the scenes… most corporations become less than ethical when driven by share holders. im not sure that a crypto corporation would be any different if it reached the scale of the likes of coka cola or monsanto. so ya no matter how promising they may seem to be at times, some things just prevent me from investing.

Even though I dislike Ripples corporate model this could mean great news for all cryptos in general, since this will definitely bring visibility! And when corporations start to realise that crypto currencies make banks useless we will hopefully see a lot of adaptation

I don't like the corporate model behind Ripple either. You are right, their mission contrasts greatly with the motives behind NEM. After all NEM is the New Economy Movement.  I don't own any Ripple.

I don't own any XRPs either - anymore -  but the tech behind Ripple is pretty brilliant. Also there's stellar now which i hope is Ripple without the corporate crap.

Yes, I am in the wait and see crowd with stellar. It may turn into a Ripple, or maybe not. I wait out projects that do not use a blockchain. Stellar is similar to Ripple in that it doesn't use a blockchain. correct?
