Sent xem from bittrex to previous xem android wallet address

Hello peeps, i have just sent xem from bittrex to my android wallet buy have used a previous address which was on opening screen. Am I screwed. Bittrex says trx complete. Cheers .

Do you have the private key of the address(previous one)?
Or backup of a wallet which include the address and password?
If so, you can control your xem.
If not, you can’t.

hi kanna, yes, i have private key as it is the same wallet. i just sent the coins to the previous address for my previous transaction.
how can i retrieve my funds.

If you have private key of the address which you send xem by mistake, you can recover the address into your wallet app both nanowallet and android.
In adroid app, select add account and enter key option.
In nanowallet, select sign up and private ley wallet option.

hi kanna, i tried that but it says account already exists.
i sent it to previous generated address by mistake… are you saying you get a new private key for each transaction
if so then i am screwed. i have wallets private key backed up and that isnt working?
am i missing something?

No, you get one private-key per account. So if you have the private-key for the “previous generated address” then you can access it’s funds. It not, then I’m afraid you’re out of luck.
That’s why it’s so important to make backups of wallets and private-keys.

Private key and address(public key) is one set.

So let’s organize information.

  1. You using android wallet.
  2. You send xem to your previous address form bittrex
  3. Now, you are not using the address which you send xem by mistake.
    Or still using it?

This mean your address is in your wallet.
So, probable causes are
You entered private key of address, different from address to which you thought you had sent xem.
If you entered correct address private key, connection to node would be failed, so it dosen’t show your balance.
Check Server setting/ Servers and select node!

Problem is that you can’t access your xem.

Is this right?

  1. Did you checked the transaction from bittrex on block exploer?
    If not, pleas check tx is exist and completed, or paste your address(if you don’t care) so everyone can check it.
    You can use your address or tx hash to search it.
  2. If you could, try on nanowallet.

ah ok, just realised something… i have sent the funds to the address of a sender i received funds from, cant remember who that was.
ie, the one transaction in my wallet shows the address of the previous sender…
well you live and learn, thanks all for your help on this.

You may still be able to get your XEM back. Contact Changelly, let them know what happened, and give them the transaction hash.

Yeah, sent it to Changelly address where I received funds from thought it
was my XEM wallet address.
