Supernode: Computing power & Change alias

Hello NEM Community,

two issues with a newly set up supernode:

The “Computing power” test fails. Required is at least 1GHz. The virtual server running the node has 4 vCores of a “Intel Xeon E5-2630 v3” CPU (8x 2.4GHz) on Windows Server 2012 R2 64bit. So that should be more than enough in my understanding. And there isn’t much else running on it.
Also, the hoster guarantees:
97% of native performance through KVM full virtualization.
Fixed resources that are fully available to the VM all the time.

I’m actually very happy with the performance of the server, it can run a lot.
So I really wonder now why the computing power test fails.
The result is:
Iterations: ~1550/s.
Time needed: 6416 ms

What could be the cause of that? Is my server really too slow? I can’t believe that.

I’m using JRE 1.8.0_91 32bit with the following parameters:
NIS: -Xms512M -Xmx768M -XX:MinHeapFreeRatio=15 -XX:MaxHeapFreeRatio=30 -XX:+UseG1GC
Servant: -Xms256M -Xmx256M -XX:MinHeapFreeRatio=15 -XX:MaxHeapFreeRatio=30 -XX:+UseG1GC

Maybe I’m just too impatient and it will need some more test"rounds"?

The other issue is that I can’t change the alias it seems. Is it an automatic process or will it just take a while (days)?
I sent a message in the stated format as everyone else is doing too (checked with nembex).

Help is very appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi, [c=#41ce7c]Master[/c][c=#e1a92b]7[/c] is your node ?

Hey,
yes, that’s true
I thought the name must match with “nis.bootName”.
And here’s how I was trying to change it: http://chain.nem.ninja/#/transfer/2af33bca66c8bbc63155afc9ec94705c4d7c10463d86787d2f1db742f6cddfe0

Great, I renamed it to Master. About computing power, you should wait 2 more rounds to see.

And everything works fine now. Test PASSed
