Just for kicks, I tried to open the account to see if Rigel left the money in there.  It has all been swept out.  That is of course the good thing to do. hahahaha

But it made me wonder something.  The PoI of that account is still quite high.  With so many people knowing the public key, and with the PoI still being high, how does that affect our network?  Can anybody log into that account now and use its PoI to harvest?  Can only one person harvest from an account at one time?  What if I set up ten computers each running NEM and each with that wallet on them, can each of the computers start harvesting using that accounts PoI? Since the PoI of that computer is 1.37% if I had ten machines in ten locations all running harvesting from that account, it would give me like 13% of all harvests, right?

  1. Since the private key is now public, anybody can indeed log into that account and start harvesting with it.
    2) If 10 users harvesting with that account it means that all 10 users will eventually harvest the very same block at the same time. Thus the chance to harvest a block does not rise.
    3) The fees are credited to the account, and anybody knowing the private key can rob that account. So while it is possible to harvest with it, you have to be fast and transfer the harvested fees to your private account or somebody else will do it :wink:
