INTRODUCTION

The power of live events is undisputable.

According to the Bizzabo Event Marketing 2018: Benchmark and Trends Report, majority (80%) of marketers believe live events are critical to their company’s success. It’s no supprise that organizations are willing to spend on events. According to Frost and Sulivan (2014), B2B events account for $512 billion in annual spend. Some 48% of event planners typically start planning for their event 6-12 months in advance. To solve problems within and serve the event market, we’ll create an ecosystem from Supplying, Sponsoring, Promoting to Ticketing.

Event Trends

Events are here to stay and rising in popularity. The majority (80%) of marketers believe live events are critical to their company’s success. An overwhelming majority of C-Suite executives (87%) believe in the power of live events and plan on investing in them more in the future. Most marketers (31%) believe that events are the single-most effective marketing channel over digital advertising, email marketing and content marketing. Some 75% of marketers believe that in the upcoming years, live events will become increasingly important to their organization’s success.

In 2016, the most popular reason for people running events was “Education and Training”; In 2017, ‘Education and Training’ (36%) remaining in the top spot, with “Generating a Profit” (30%) coming in second (up two places) and “Networking” (30%) third (down one place).

Driven by our pioneering spirit and passion to help and connect people within the industry, we are on a mission to revolutionize the Events Market ecosystem from supplying to sponsorship to marketing to ticketing.

The Vireef team has invested our own capital less than $75,000 in registering the company, hiring people, developing the MVP (minimum viable product) & beta, research and development, aggressive go-to-market strategy and partnership.

We successfully partnered with notable talent agencies and organizations that are composed of dozens known talents and celebrities, such as Talent Marketers Inc., OPM (Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Musikero), Star Image, Filipino Indie Artist (FIA) Community and freelance events suppliers. Another partnership and potential customers we have is PMAP (People Management Association of the Philippines). Moreover, we also have ongoing partnership under VCM (Vidanes Celebrity Management) and HRAP (Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines).

Artist and Talent Agency Partners

We conducted surveys and one-on-one meeting with talent agencies, freelance artists, talents, event suppliers, and venues. Everyone is interested to be part of our growing community. We found that they are interested in:

  • solving trust issues between event services suppliers and clients
  • finding more sponsorship
  • marketing their services

We started and launched the VIREEF beta last January 2018, aiming to be a trusted marketplace for artists, talents, and event suppliers. We’ve seen growing peer to peer transactions via social media for booking freelance talents, artists, event suppliers, and venues but this trend is constrained by increasing concerns on trust, reliability and security.

Vireef will address such issues through an ecosystem with web and mobile applications and transactions performed through NEM-blockchain technology.

Our mission is to provide a revolutionized Events Market Ecosystem from event supplying, sponsorship, promoting to ticketing. Ultimately, our ecosystem aims to create opportunities for talented people around the globe, helping them bookings, opportunities, and incentives and thereby increasing their spending power to contribute to true economic growth

PROBLEM

According to a 2017 Forbes poll, Event Organizing is among the world’s top 5 most stressful jobs. The challenges are constrained by suppliers’ concerns for trust, reliability and security; acquiring sponsorship to supplement the event expenditures either financial or in-kind support of some activity; proper marketing and promoting events so people would be aware; increasing event registration with ticketing; additional funds for freelance event suppliers, artists or talents; and copyright issues over content uploaded online.

  • Event Supply. Peer to peer transactions such as booking for freelance talents, artists, event suppliers, and venues using social media are now on the rise, contributing to the growing spending in events. In Great Britain alone, people spent $57.71 billion on events in 2014. However, these markets are constrained by suppliers’ concerns for trust, reliability and security.

  • Event Sponsorship. According to Sponsez, 16% of event planners consider acquiring sponsors their biggest challenge and 77% of businesses will outsource some part of sponsorship management to agencies. Sponsorship spending is predicted to amount to $62.8 billion dollars, up from $60.1 billion from 2016 (Statista).

  • Event Promotion. According to one study, 30% of people said that they would have purchased a ticket to an event if they were aware that it was happening in their area. (Google & Ipsos Media CT, 2014). 51% of event organizers say the biggest challenge in using social media is how to use it effectively.

  • Event Ticketing. Google & Ipsos Media CT reported that 71% of all ticket buying happens online and 36% of event marketers said that their biggest challenge is increasing event registration.

LIMITATIONS

All current online platform that currently exist are based on a centralized operation. They depend on a closed and proprietary software and as a result of this centralization, all these platforms contain the same limitation as listed below.

Limitations of Current Platforms

  • They are not transparent – Event planners and Individuals have no way to ensure the origin, authenticity and legitimacy of event suppliers.

  • The ecosystem is limited – Different platforms today are restricted and limited that favors only on their services. Customers tend to use various other platforms for their specific requirements.

  • They are not open – Each event user or supplier has to use the platform for registration, authentication and bidding for newly posted projects by users. Therefore, there is a huge number of the same type of platforms worldwide either supplier and user must register several times to get the quality projects. Moreover, they have to manage many different accounts and learn how to use a new different interface each time.

  • Commission rates are high – Due to bank and credit cards, centralized systems tend to cut higher transaction fees and commissions ranging from 15-20% minimum.

  • Revenues are centralized – Revenues only go to the shareholders pocket which in turn makes the gig and sharing economy suffer.

DESIGN SOLUTION

We are aiming to launch a new, open, decentralized series of interconnected platforms that are dedicated to the real-time management of any event related requirements from supplying, sponsorship, promoting to ticketing.

Our goal is to establish the fundamentals of the ecosystem that will be accessible to everyone and with the highest degree of opportunities and functionalities. As a result, we hope that users will be able to connect to supply, serve, offer and bid products and services within our ecosystem.

Initially, we’ll adopt a lean implementation approach where the functionalities available on our platform will be expanded progressively and quickly. This will increase the likelihood of widespread adoption.

NEM Blockchain

  • Realizable and Transparent. Through NEM-blockchain technology, both suppliers and users will have ability to trust the ecosystem. Since all transactions within the blockchain are immutable, our system will be robust and tamper-proof for storing data within the blockchain. In addition, all disputes within the ecosystem will be handled.

  • Fast, Secure and Immutable. Through NEM-blockchain technology, it will offer technical consensus mechanism enabling data to be validated in less than a second in certain scenarios.
    Since blockchain is open standard it will be possible to incorporate additional feature layers and modules to extend the functionalities and possibilities, like KYC, Legal limitations, Instant purchase, payment guarantees, Escrow, Payouts, and Audio and Video streaming.

  • Low Transaction Costs. Through NEM-blockchain technology, very low transaction fees are possible and highly secured.

VIREEF PLATFORM

Vireef will implement an ecosystem that would benefit all users with effortless process. Through the unique combination of our solutions, we are now able to increase trust, reliability, opportunity and support the business in order to achieve excellence in their business and growth. The Vireef ecosystem will focus on an API approach, with the aim of making it interoperable. Our ecosystem is aiming to make global adoption with lean approach. Through, NEM-blockchain technology we can unlock the $512 billion events market.

SOLUTION:

  1. Supplying. The Vireef Supply Marketplace connects event organizers and event owners with event suppliers consisting freelance artists, talents, events suppliers and venues. The Marketplace will act as the mechanism to connect worldwide suppliers to trade services between each other way by using VEC Token. Vireef PRO will enable suppliers like freelance artist, talents, event suppliers, and venues to showcase their professional profiles or set cards with a review system verified under the NEM-blockchain technology. Vireef Plus is where PRO can create their own content inside the ecosystem which will be copyrighted using blockchain (Copyrightbank was considered for this solution). Vireef Patronage will be available to PRO if they want to get patronage from their customers and fans. Vireef Funds is a revenue sharing and funding mechanism within the ecosystem wherein freelance artists, talents, and suppliers. Users can utilize Funds to gain support for their events ahead of time.

  1. Sponsoring. Vireef Sponsor is intended to become a platform that connects the event organizers, artists, talents and brands so they can supplement event expenditures either in financial or in-kind support

  1. Promoting. One of our objectives is to have proper marketing and promotion so people will be fully informed and aware increasing the chances of attendance and awareness. This will be accomplished by enabling users and suppliers to engage with one another through Vireef Social which allows functions like follow, message, and share information.

  1. Ticketing. Through the ecosystem and VEC tokens, users will be aware and fully informed. The effect will be higher registration. With Vireef Ticketing and VEC tokens, event owners will be able to reach a wider audience while lowering the cost of user acquisition.

VEC Token

Vireef Ecosystem Coin (VEC) token will be our crypto assest which will be based on NEM. The VEC token will function as the token to use within the Vireef Ecosystem. This token will be based on Mosaic and Namespaces from NEM blockchain.

MILESTONE

Building our ecosystem is not an easy task. Unlike others, it is not 1 or 2 platforms. We are building at least 4 platforms seamless integrated platforms an ecosystem that will complement and support $512 billion Events Market.
