Wallet Setup Problems/Questions

Question/Problem #1
I converted litecoin from coinbase thru gatehub for XEM. In my Nano wallet’s Dashboard I see the XEM. But in my Account:Primary there is no vested XEM. Do I have to send it to the Account address?

#2 I didn’t understand that I needed vested XEM to Harvest and set up harvesting. The .150000 XEM fee shows in the Dashboard as well. As in Question #1, when I send the XEM shown in Dashboard to the Account will the :man_farmer: harvesting start once I have the required about of XEM?

Update…

I chose a Node and now have 1.121767 XEM in Vested balance in Account Tab. The dasboard still shows 11.567666 XEM

How vesting works you can read here - > http://nem-tools.com/#/calculator.
From 12 xem you will never be able to harvest because it’s required 10000 xem vested balance to start.
When you buy more XEM and you will have 10000 xem vested balance this is link how to activate it:
https://blog.nem.io/how-to-activate-start-delegated-harvesting-in-nanowallet/

Nano Wall 1

Maybe this will make it clearer. #2 is the XEM I transfered into the wallet. #3 appears to be the charge for harvesting since it does match that amount. Subtract the two and you get #1, the amount of remaining XEM. **Correct???** If so, why charge me if I can't harvest due to not enough XEM???

Nano Wallet 2

#4 Vested balance: 1.14167 or 10% of #1. Vested: "secured in the possession of or assigned to a person" SO, I am not acutually "in possession" of my XEM????

Me thinks maybe I should have inVESTED in a different wallet??? :sob:

If you have activate harvesting you paid 0.15 xem. Mechanism allows you do it faster than you have required 10000 xem because we don’t want block you (maybe you just buying xem).
Each day 10% from your unvested changes in vested so for example if you have 12xem.

  1. 1.2 xem will be vested (12xem × 10%)
  2. 1.08 will be vested (10.8 × 10%) so you have 1.2+1.08=2.28 xem vested
  3. 0.972 will be vested (9.72 × 10%) so you have 1.2+1.08+0.972=3.252

and so on

Thank you. I understand now. I plan to buy more XEM but doubt if l will ever own 10,000. That seems pretty high for many people to afford. I wonder how many people have that much in their Nano Wallet???
