No official channel ever claimed there was a partnership with Tencen. However that believe is exactly what caused this recent spike and the following dip.
The people that lost money there should look to themselves. Believing random people on subsreddits is not a good idea especially in crypto.
However, official channels could have made it A LOT more clear that it’s a third-party app and nothing more. There was no need to be vague like that and just say “Wechat wallet”. This was good news all by itself.
Please be more clear in future and make it harder for pumper to spread falsehoods that turn people off of nem.
