What are we up against?

Here is an awesome documentary about current economics and why they are destined to fail.

It pretty much shows what we're up against

If we have any economic experts here please give us your thoughts and remarks.

This documentary needs no economist to understand or to clarify. It is extremely clear and in the last five years, countless documentaries drawing the same parallel stories are being produced to tell us the same story in different ways.

In fact the very existence of such neo-economic theories and practice have led to the creation of the crypto economy, something that you and I are championing. :-)

The point is, we are up against those who would burn the world down for personal gain. They are completely ruthless.

Do you have what it takes up to go against them?

History repeats. Systems collapse naturally. Fact is 99.99% of the world's population is affected. Like the documentary showed, people become "terrorists" to counter the neo-colonialism and terrorism actually done by the 0.01%. They were displaced from their livelihood and they have nothing else to lose except to fight.

The systemic failings of the current economy will lead to people having no choice but to actually reset the economy. This has been shown time and again to happen throughout history. Modern history is no exception.

Terrorist to some, freedom fighter to others. Economy to some, politics to ohers and political economy to the third.

Cryptocurrencies do not challenge the neo-colonial growth based world politico-economic dynamics at all per se. In fact they can easily enhance those dynamics and thetefore one should be wary of stating that cryptos actually offer any solution to the current problem.

You see, the problem lies within greed, ignorance and most of all the fact that capital is piled to the 0.01%. We cannot all live in the same prosperity tgat most of the people in this forum do. The minority has to give in order for the majority to prosper.

More efficient markets and better distribution of goods will help raise the standard of living for many. However, like you said, cryptos could be a double-edged sword, in that the establishment could use crypto to keep power for themselves. Imagine if a crypto currency was centralized by the government. If that was the case, then the government could control all trade and who could send or receive money, even. It would be a dystopian future.

Let's hope we are only forging blockchains and not the chains of oppression for all of humanity.

Double edge sword indeed! Ecuador is awaiting its President to sign the bill to implement digital currency in their country. This precedence will set forth the beginning of the other edge of the sword which will be exploited again by the 0.01%

The other end of the spectrum is the constant re-distrubtion of wealth.

So…

How do we put NEM in the middle, have NEM be the balance between the two.

This would answer some of the question.

This is what is happening with bitcoin already, the majority of bitcoin is held by the minority. Same old story.

Yes this is not "old wine in new bottle", but rather "new wine in old bottle"!

Yes we need to get the New Wine into New Bottles otherwise these bottles will break.

Have faith, just as the powers that be thought the internet would give them ultimate control, and in a sense it has, they underestimate the power of the ability of us to communicate on a mass scale.

They thought, compared to the power they would receive with the total ability to watch over our every move, up to what time we put toast in the toaster, ie internet of things, these technologies will free us, and they WILL get to witness the whole thing.

But like I said, they underestimate us. At the end of every major oppression this has been the tyrants downfall, and nothing will change here, history will repeat itself in this sense.

But as chaos starts during the transformation, we will already be organized and I believe we won't see the step of the strong rising to the top in a dictator type fashion, the strong will be us, forging a system that is even more fair. We will skip the dictator rises out of the chaos and then a revolution to take him down, the circle will be altered this time as history tries to repeat itself.

+1 for new wine in a new bottle.

NEM has more of this than any other crypto yet but maybe isn't there yet
