What happen to the mosaic when the domain is not renewed?

Hello,

I have been thinking of issuing a series of limited mosaics for some of my users.
And the next question arose, what happens to the mosaics when the (sub)domain is not renewed?

Can you continue to transfer the mosaic between accounts?
Are they are deleted? Are they marked with any field?

For NIS1 after expiring namespace you will not see mosaic in balance and you are unable to send it.
For Symbol you can create mosaics with infinite duration.
