What is the "Sink Address"?

Hi Guys. Apologies for the total noob question, but what is a “Sink Address”? One can see this when creating a new Namespace in the NanoWallet.What is the aim/use of this"Sink Address"?

tThat is the address where the Namespace fees go to.
