Where do you find the message for poloniex?

I’m new to NEM and I’ve read the horror stories that poloniex and the messages.

So I want to clear things up for new readers cause THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE CLEAR METHOD IN HOW THIS WORKS AND EVERY THREAD SAYS CONTRIDICTING THINGS. so please can someone explain:

  1. Where do you find the message you put into field? It’s nowhere to be found in account, literally nowhere can I find what this message should be. Please supply step by step

  2. Do you need message if you are sending to your NEM wallet or only to another exchange?

Your unique message code is visible in Poloniex deposit page for XEM. Each exchange has own address and generates other message code for you.
