I’m trying to send my XEM to poloniex. Receiving XEM from poloniex was near instant, sending it however…I sent the XEM at 9PM with a transaction fee of 12 (I didn’t pick it), it’s 1230AM and only ~166 confirmations have taken place. 9.40 was what was used to send it to me the last time and it was very quick.
Why is it so slow? At this rate it could take 24 hours to days for it to go through.
It’s been 20 hours now and XEM is still sending confirmations. I am unable to get my wallet to hope to see how many confirmations it is but I am guessing that it’s going to take 7 days based on the rate it was confirming the last I was able to open my wallet.
–Just got the wallet to open by deleting the NCC json file, and yep, it’s about 1k confirming. So at this rate it’s going to take 7 days to actually send my XEM from my account to poloniex…Can someone explain why it’s taking 7 days to send my finances from A to B…?
I just realized it’s worse than I thought. I thought it was going to take just 7 days. Poloniex took “73841” confirmations to send to me, if I am to go by this, and it’s been a complete day with only “1610” confirmations, with it only moving 1k per day, it could take several months (2 1/2 months) to transfer my finances from A to B. I don’t even know who to contact for support/help with this. I am so bummed right now.
I’ve never used a wallet in my life that has taken several days (let alone months) just to transfer from one wallet to the next

did you remember to include the message when sending to Poloniex?
Yes I was very careful to include the message from Poloniex.
Check with Poloniex. Open a ticket. It is unusually long. Give them your Tx Id. You can find it in view.
I’m not sure how they can help since it seems to be a XEM wallet issue. I just realized that in spite of me sending all of my finances from XEM to Poloniex the transaction says I’ve only sent 0.00 and that there is a 12 fee.
It says when I put in all the money that ‘should be’ in my account that I have insufficient fees, and then gives me this message "Ncc did not get response in a timely manner. Transaction might have been sent to the network.
Please, check transactions before attempting to make it again." It also says that if I were sending that much that it should be a 7 fee. I don’t know what to do right now, my funds are stuck.
I’ll try to call Poloniex but I don’t think it’s going to help.
Edit: I also had to confirm before I sent the whole thing, it doesn’t allow you to send something with 0.00 money so I’m all kinds of confused right now.
According to your NCC, you sent a message but no money. It is 0 amount and you still have your balance of 11,231.45 there, i.e, 12 less than you received.
Nothing will happen in Poloniex.
Edit: The “error message” you get is a response from the NCC having a bad communication with the NIS. “Transaction might have been sent to the network.” So according to your wallet, it had in fact gone out, albeit with 0 amount. If I were you, I just send again.
I noticed that after I posted, and I can’t understand it. XEM wouldn’t allow me to confirm without me putting money in. I put the money I needed to send in, and it confirmed, asking if I was fine sending that amount of money and I said yes. Looking at it now it says I sent 0.00 and am -12.00. So it took -12.00 from me -sniffles-.
I just tried it again, 4x’s, it gave me an error 3x’s, and the final time it sent. I don’t think I will be using the wallet again but I am really thankful for the help. I would have been sitting here for months wondering what’s going on!
EDIT: I guess it’s just a NCC/NIS bad communication thing. Probably should have updated but didn’t know how since there are two NEM folders and didn’t know if I had to manually update or I was just confused :(.
Confirmations = approximately the number of minutes that you have sent out from your time stamp or the number of minutes you have received from the time it was sent to you. You can check:
May 09, 8am. Now it is appr. 73855 mins later. Total days is about 51.2 days, which is about right on this day and time.
Yeah. old version seems to have some problem working with the new version. Better to use the latest and the greatest.
You can manually update, that is the best. Copy from the zip file and dump it into the directory that contain the old version. Just remember to back up your wallet, which is the most important.
Hello, i made a transaction yesterday buying XEM through changelly, but i have not received anything yet as its stuck on “sending money to your wallet”. is this normal or do i have to do some sort of action to receive money to wallet? Thank you
Looks like some error on changelly site. You must contact with changelly support.
