Anybody with low power computer (or even single board computer) running NIS/NCC?

delegating harvesting for 24 hours now, should i see something now in my client? still says zero…

due to small laptop performance?

You need to have 1,000NEM in your vested balance before you can harvest. The vested balance has a small bug in it and remain at zero longer than it should. I've had balance of >10,000NEM for about 48 hours and my vested balance now shows the right figures and I can harvest

KC

Vested balance needs to be > 10k XEM. This is a bug in the NCC GUI.

Hello,
after a lot of problems with my Cubietruck with previous beta versions i stop try, I'll try now after launch.

I remenmber you that i want run on my Cubie NXT and NEM at the same time. Is it possible now? With previous version i can run on Cubie only NXT and NIS, while NCC from my pc.

NXT use abou 350-400 Mb.

Sorry for may bad english  :D

NXT used only 110 MB of RAM on my computer.
Also able to run NIS no VPS de 512 total memory, but i could not open ports pubicly. :(

Important: NCC should always run on the computer, where you also open the browser (GUI).

I have NIS on my cubietruck and I don't really have problems...

Why it is not good run NCC on Cubietruck?

Why it is not good run NCC on Cubietruck?

Because you enter your password in your browser and then it needs to be sent to NCC via the network (or even internet, depends on your setup). Eavesdropping possible...

I configured my cubietruck and it is running nxt and nis from over 24 hours without any problem.

Delegated harvesting is active.
I use Ncc from my pc as suggested.

Node is visible on nembex, so I think the configuration is ok

Another option if people look for a low power computer to run at home:
Get an old netbook (preferably with a broken screen, they are as low as 20$) - it has more computing power, can be upgraded to 2-4GB (depending on the chipset) and uses around 10-15 Watt …

Also best would be to get a 64bit CPU , some server programms don`t run on 32 bit (looking at you docker.io  >:( )

old net book with a broken screen is a pretty good idea.

Running NIS at raspberry Pi 2 at raspbian and its fine.  With powerful machines i have much more troubles  :o

I put in Raspberry B and it worked, but got 100% of CPU, This decreases the chances of finding blocks?

Here the logs if they want to analyze performance.

I made a tutorial explaining how to install in the Raspberry:
https://forum.ournem.com/tutorials/how-to-setup-a-node-in-raspberry/

Icharles123, the next version hopefully will decrease processor load.

at rasp 2 pi is the average load approx. 0.7, CPU usually at 30-40 percent average for all 4 cores (at default clock).

Installed 0.6.26 on my cubietruck and it is running from about 4 days without any problem.
Delegated harvesting is active and also found 2 blocks.
Node is visible on nembex.

I remember you that Nis is running with Nxt.

cpu load should go even lower, with 0.6.27 that should be avail tomorrow

I run two nodes, test and livenet respectively

http://nem.servebeer.com:13805/node/info

single core
512MB total RAM (256 dedicated and 256 swap)
Both have using less than 210MB swap

You would like to link up with everybody who is running NIS/NCC on a low power ARM single board computer or raspberry pi/banana pi/cubieboard or whatever.
IMHO it makes no sense to have the whole thing (NIS + NCC) running on a low-powered device.
Why not just have NIS running and connect to it via NCC remotely ?

I run a full node and a NanoWallet on a Raspi 3 no problem. It isn’t a supernode of course, but it is a full node that makes blocks and contributes to the network’s security as well as doing all txs via NanoWallet.
