Huge buy orders on at low prices, Someone is expecting the price to drop hard and they want it all for cheap
Frankly, I am nervous. Watching the triangle close in at 0.70 with optimisms that it would break out upwards, but then it ended up dipping pretty bad.
I have a steadily decreasing amount of faith with NEM. This lady, who was the forefront of advertising and explaining about Catapult in 2017 was the one who got me hooked and put a lot of faith into NEM. But given the massive delays and the crash of 2018, it was just hot air cooling down quickly.
Fast-forward three years later, November 2020 came, and they announced the snapshot to happen in January this year! So back into NEM I went, investing the amount required for harvesting (which is pretty much paltry now). But the final stress test failed, another delay by two months. Well, at least itās just a matter of hours now, so despite another project (Chiliz) flying high over the past couple of days, gonna hopefully stick to my guns with NEM and the upcoming Symbol.
But dunno if Iāll sell. But the fever pitch of pumps before snapshots and forks (Bitcoin Gold and Cash comes to mind) is pretty much non-existent, the craze right now is all about NFTs. Looks like there are ways that symbol and NEM can incorporate those. Butā¦ yeahā¦ look 400 tps for a stress test is not very impressive. Only a miracle would kind of reinvigorate my excitement with this project.

If you feel like selling it, go ahead. We are in gambling mode. Anything is possible. You might sell now, and buy XEM back a lot cheaper later. Iām hodling!

Itās too risky to sell now before the snapshot. Iām in for getting XEM = XYM no matter how much XEM dumps now.

Yes, Pontifiers hopeless revenge attempts of a silly man.
But this reminds me of the ādusting attacksā at bitcoin, which i regularly get, and i counter them by blocking/freezing those Sats in my bitcoin-wallet from my future transactions.
My question: Are ādusting attacksā also a thing /possibility in XEM, and later in XYM ?
How to best handle such mysterious micro-transactions in NEM ?
