when i open it the next day and lauch failed ,it first show "nis is Unavailable" ,and now show "Failed to save configuration file" :o

are you using the new 2.4 alpha?

how to see the version number？i download it yesterday by link of the btt message，i think it's new.whether i create a new wallet or lauch old ,it  does not work

Quick troubleshooting guide for 0.2.4


    [li]standalone (NOT webstart), keep in mind format of config.properties changed, and there are actually two separate configs in [tt]nis[/tt] and [tt]ncc[/tt] subdirs. Additionally you might want to delete /home/<username>/nem/nis, just to be sure

    To setup booting up, edit [tt]nis/config.properties[/tt], and set bootKey and bootName for the host.
    There is also [tt]harvest.sh[/tt] script, where you can start harvesting using curl, similar thing can be done for windows.

      [li]kill any running jawa/jawaws processes[/li]
      [li]Go to java control panel, and hit "View..." (can be run with javaws -viewer)

        [li]from "applications" remove both NCC and NIS[/li]
        [li]to be sure check resources and clean them all (this will cause redownload of everything, which might take a bit, but should help with most of the problms)[/li]

        There is AN ISSUE with standalone package. If your're running NIS-only, you will need to move config.properties from NIS subdir into main dir.

        If you want to run both NIS and NCC as a standalone, the easiest way now is:

          [li]make a second copy of a package[/li]
          [li]in one dir move config.properties from nis dir, start nis[/li]
          [li]in another move config.properties from ncc dir, start ncc[/li]


          sorry for the trouble we're gonna fix that in next version (Alternative is to modify start scripts a bit. Basically class loader searches only "top" dir).

It is probably easier to use WinKey+R %userprofile% (built in alias) to get to the NCC and NEM directories for your profile on Windows.

Should you not attempt to keep the file under ncc with the *.wlt file  extension as I presume this is your wallet?

Happened to me too.

You need to clean the c:/user/nis/nem.

Just let the .wlt file.

You need to clean the java cache too. The command is: windows key + R and  javaws -viewer.

Clear the Nem java process and do ctrl + alt+del and delete all java process, except the java update.

try it out.

I have problem with sending coins - transaction still pending and no any confirmation - I open wallet 3 days ago - how long I have to waiting before I can send coins.


I use the last version 2.4 and problem still the same I have 1 189 708.13 NEM and I can't sending any of them

Edit : Problem was solved in IRC channel - my computer clock was delay 2 min. After synchronize start to sending.

been getting alot of daily test transactions. got 348 150.00 nem so far. would be nice if i could trade them all for one real one!

If I send a digit array message of 512 symbols (without encrypting), it will sending normally and I see "Transaction has been sent successfully!"
If the message contains more than 512 symbols, for example 513, it will not sending but nonetheless I see again "Transaction has been sent successfully!".
In earlier version seems it return me Error, as it should be.

Hmmmmm.  I can't seem to get NEM working.  I am working on a MAC.  Lately, I have been trying to click the link at the start of this thread.

I get an "Application Error" that says I am unable to launch the application.  Then there is a location to the bob.nem.ninja.  I click okay.  Nothing happens.  I use to click okay at this point and a webpage would open and I would notice Java was going.  Now, nothing is happening. 

Before this problem I was able to get the NEM webpage open by clicking on a nem-client.jnlp on my desktop.  But then later the webpage would come up and it either wouldn't find my wallet or if it did the password wouldn't work (password was saved to Lastpass so should be okay I guess).

So overall, I am having problems getting it working.
