Redemption being extended - again

Actually, many people have been asking me to extend the deadline, so I am sure they will be happy.

Once multisig is in the open beta and well tested, we should be able to decide a final launch deadline.

So please help test the beta! [url=https://forum.ournem.com/beta-launch-discussion/nem-beta-0-4-36/]https://forum.ournem.com/beta-launch-discussion/nem-beta-0-4-36/

Again - I know that writing software in time barriers is hard. Just inform people ahead. I starded my posts here mainly because moving redemption deadlines. Those kind of deadlines should be rock solid.

Yeah, I'm sure that many NXT people asking for extend deadline. And of course you have expanded it.

How lame/unprofessional is that? Deadline is deadline. And if deadline =\= deadline you had a lot of time to inform people that you have trouble with coding. Day before deadline is your solution. Where it came up? At IRC? Between yourselves?

NEM is so big investment with you guys. Especially if you grow up.

Yeah, it would have been way more professional to release not properly tested software so the likes of you would shut up like other projects are doing.
Maybe it's you that needs to grow up ?
You are spreading pure FUD. Since i'm trying not to lash out anymore I'll stop right here (gosh this is hard.)

Lets try again:
If Nem is launched with a lot of known bugs, how professional is that?

Dont forget: the good feedback is the construtive one.

What can you do to help Nem? Want it fast? You can  help with coding. Bug finding, translations and so on.

If the client goes  live  and someone find  a great bug you will see your  share of nem going from some thousands to some dollars. If you really want it, sorry.
You are not able to see  the possibilities and the problem it can bring togheter this kind of posture.
In other words, community are saving money for you.

Believe you or not.

Have a nice day.

Tell me the benefits of sticking to the deadline?

Cons:
less people in genesis
More coins the devs must hold
Distribution looks worse
People lose out on silver coins
Resulting in possible left over silver coins
People who find out about nem after the deadline can't be in the genesis

Pros of sticking to deadline:
?

You fill in the rest of the pros in your opinion and we will see which is the better option out of extending or sticking to the deadline.

That's why we didn't want to give a deadline in the first place.

Just a reminder to everyone to keep it friendly and civil.

Any opinion is welcome and is helpful for discourse, but just try to be nice about it and think about what you are writing before you write it. I know because this is the Internet and nobody is actually sitting there right in front of you, things tend to degrade more than they do in real life, but just try to remember that there are actual people behind the screen reading what you write, and that you can make a much more convincing argument by being well-spoken and factual in your statements.

The above comment isn't mine and doesn't really need to be argued with as the author isn't even on this forum, but I thought it would be useful to post what is on the minds of some of the NEMsters.  This guy has been very active on the Facebook page.  Lots of comments and discussion back and forth with him.  This was basically the first negative thing he posted and it seems like he had a lot built up that he let out at once.

As if we weren't aware of that. As if we had planned for this. He's also wrong about some stuff (where the fuck is he getting those 250 accounts from ?) but why bother correcting people at this point...

Thanks for crossposting anyway Jabo!

I tried to correct the things I could correct and get him back into a good state of mind.  And definitely pointed out that there won't be any +200 whales.

I think he referred to the amount of stake (250+) held in Pat's account in NXT AE. Of course we know these stake are irrelevant but a newbie could get a wrong impression if he check the exchange without knowing any history. Should I suggest destroying these stakes by sending them to genesis block etc. ?

Well, don't be mad about it. This doesnt sound like FUD in my opinion, so we should take this serious and explain it. Why should we not bother correcting it?

Account: 13254208495541261949
Asset Quantity: 379.8 pcs.

If this is meant, and if this is true (Pat's account) this should be public information. No wonder people ask about it.

Wrong quantity I think.

So, 168 stakes not redeemed?

I don't get it.

Note in bottom of list:

"Last checked 24.10.2014 00:30 (CET), find here a detailed version. To reduce the loading time, we only show max. 100 shareholder. Click here to see all."

Another note in http://nxtreporting.com/shareholder.php?a=12465186738101000735

"UPDATE: 2014/10/15: Nxt version 1.3.1 has been released and our Shareholder Analysis is back online!

Right now, we update the Shareholder data manually every few days.
Once the new client is tested and stable (in approx. 2-3 weeks), we will install it on the NxtReporting server and the Shareholder data will be displayed in real time. Thanks for your patience."

Blocknet.info has actual information I think.

Thank you!

we send back Nem stakes on nxt asset, so maybe that amount is no. of returned stakes to Pat

YES

Yea doesn't mean anything when there are two questions in one sentence.. Pat means yes both btt and nxt holders.

I think more and more that this whole thing is just a huge scam. Redemtion extended to get more trust to pump more money to the "developers" hands.
