How did you send a stake if you are a btt stakeholder ?
You're supposed to register a real address with your token on chain.nem.ninja/stakes.
I'm sorry I have to ask this but did you even read the OP ?
I registered via the nem stake claim. I got confused with copy regarding the address having the N and T at the beginning.
Yeah I did read it…

Yeah I did read it...
From what I see on https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered everything looks good.
Yeah I see that, but has it registered to the correct account?
The address i registered it to was the address on the top left of my client and i swapped the T for N at the beginning… Not the address I took down after creating an account stupidly…

Nope then it's the wrong address for sure.
Send me a pm on btt with your token and then I'll delete the address from the db again so you can register a new one.
I thought so. Thank you. Do you have the same username on bitcointalk?

Please decide and announce in the redemption guide and in all forums also time zone and time of deadline on 22 of November. I think this is important and it will be less confusion and questions for people.
hello i am in dead point with java now , i installed the new version but still getting the error : javafx application could not launch due to system configuration , note that i changed all security setting and set them to minimum but this did not help , i am pretty sure many have the same issue
Regards
...
Second question : does the standalone client also require java 8? Not really enthused about installing java 8 on my mac because it's an active dev box that's working quite well at the moment with java 7.
Thanks!
If you don't want to affect your currently installed OS in any ways then trying out the Live CD option might be the best. Here is a short guide for preparing the working environment for NEM with Linux Mint 17 MATE edition: https://forum.ournem.com/index.php?topic=2602.0
PS: Also creating your real NEM data under the clean Live CD session is the best security option I can think of at the moment. Just take a snapshot of the data with PrintScreen key, archive the resulting PNG file using 7z (built in with Mint) with strong password and save it to a flash drive (or two for reliability).
Hope that helps,
Cheers!

I ended up using parallels and doing this, was a good idea. Thanks!
How long should it take to end up on the registered list?
Here : https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered
I think I did everything correctly, but I am not on there yet.
Thanks

if you reigstered via the portal you should be there right away. If you sent NEMStake via NXT then it can take up to 10 min after the first confirmation.
PS: You are there.
Hello,
I have been unable to launch the NEM client on Mac OS Yosemite 10.10…
Have anybody succeeded ?
For now, I've tried on Chrome, and Safari. Java has been updated to 8, and I've removed all security in Java setup, adding bob.nem.ninja as an exception site (no security check).
When I click on the jnlp link, the spash screen opens, but nothing happens afterwards.
Here is the log :<br />Java Web Start 11.25.2.17<br />Utilisation de la version JRE 1.8.0_25-b17 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM<br /> JNLP Ref (absolute): http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart/nem-monitor.jnlp<br />SplashProgressBar created.<br />validating: <http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart/nem-monitor.jnlp> <null>. entry 1 total 1 100%<br />updateProgressUI: 100%<br />Can't load log handler "java.util.logging.FileHandler"<br />java.nio.file.FileSystemException: /Users/olivier/nem/mon/logs/nem-mon-0.log.1.lck: Operation not permitted<br />java.nio.file.FileSystemException: /Users/olivier/nem/mon/logs/nem-mon-0.log.1.lck: Operation not permitted<br /> at sun.nio.fs.UnixException.translateToIOException(UnixException.java:91)<br /> at sun.nio.fs.UnixException.rethrowAsIOException(UnixException.java:102)<br /> at sun.nio.fs.UnixException.rethrowAsIOException(UnixException.java:107)<br /> at sun.nio.fs.UnixFileSystemProvider.newFileChannel(UnixFileSystemProvider.java:177)<br /> at java.nio.channels.FileChannel.open(FileChannel.java:287)<br /> at java.nio.channels.FileChannel.open(FileChannel.java:335)<br /> at java.util.logging.FileHandler.openFiles(FileHandler.java:438)<br /> at java.util.logging.FileHandler.<init>(FileHandler.java:255)<br /> at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance0(Native Method)<br /> at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.java:62)<br /> at sun.reflect.DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.java:45)<br /> at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance(Constructor.java:408)<br /> at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Class.java:438)<br /> at java.util.logging.LogManager$5.run(LogManager.java:966)<br /> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)<br /> at java.util.logging.LogManager.loadLoggerHandlers(LogManager.java:958)<br /> at java.util.logging.LogManager.initializeGlobalHandlers(LogManager.java:1578)<br /> at java.util.logging.LogManager.access$1500(LogManager.java:145)<br /> at java.util.logging.LogManager$RootLogger.accessCheckedHandlers(LogManager.java:1667)<br /> at java.util.logging.Logger.getHandlers(Logger.java:1776)<br /> at java.util.logging.Logger.log(Logger.java:735)<br /> at java.util.logging.Logger.doLog(Logger.java:765)<br /> at java.util.logging.Logger.log(Logger.java:788)<br /> at java.util.logging.Logger.info(Logger.java:1489)<br /> at org.nem.monitor.NemMonitor.main(NemMonitor.java:37)<br /> at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)<br /> at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:62)<br /> at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43)<br /> at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:483)<br /> at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.executeApplication(Unknown Source)<br /> at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.executeMainClass(Unknown Source)<br /> at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.doLaunchApp(Unknown Source)<br /> at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.run(Unknown Source)<br /> at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745)<br />nov. 05, 2014 11:18:58 PM org.nem.monitor.NemMonitor main<br />INFOS: NCC JNLP configured as: http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart/nem-client.jnlp<br />nov. 05, 2014 11:18:58 PM org.nem.monitor.NemMonitor main<br />INFOS: NIS JNLP configured as: http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart/nem-server.jnlp<br />nov. 05, 2014 11:18:58 PM org.nem.monitor.NemMonitor canStart<br />INFOS: Acquiring exclusive lock to lock file: /Users/olivier/nem/mon.lock<br />nov. 05, 2014 11:18:58 PM org.nem.monitor.NemMonitor canStart<br />GRAVE: Could not acquire exclusive lock to lock file<br />

So what should somone, who has not registered his token yet do now? Is he automatically grouped with "after launch" people, who will get less NEM in their stakes? Is there any chance for him to redeem before 22. deadline?
Hello,
...
im not sure how mac works.. but maybe you can try a manual instalation.
at least on windows, always need to do a java -viewer and clean cache from previous versions of nem.
;)
damn this is brutal on a Mac and trying to run parallels WIN 7.
I'm running Java installed (Version 8 Update 25) on my Mac and I got to load the client link http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart/nem-monitor.jnlp and it just disappears.
any ideas?
thanks

As Mac is unix base. it shoudnt be so different form linux installation.
you will need to get this file on bob.nem.ninja nis-ncc-0.4.17.tgz .
Unzip it an try to go to the folder whith nem. I think to run the file you will do a command (or execute directely the file):
sudo ./nix.runNis.sh
After that runs and show you the message ready to serve the 127.0.0.1:8989, whith other terminal run the command (or execute directely the file):
sudo ./nix.runNcc.sh
Note: Sudo is a command to use super-user powers to have the right to execute the file on linux. Maybe you dont need that.
The first file runs NIS server and the second the web server so you can see the Page of Nem running the command at your browser:
127.0.0.1:8989
inside nems package there is it:

Note you'll need the java 8 plugin installed on your browser.
If nothing woks, try to install the Oracle virtual box and oracle virtual box extensions pack(this is a virtual machine to run operational systens on your pc, without damage anything of your actual OS). Install a linux distribution inside it. There are tons of tutorial how-to on you tube.
Good luck
