I am an early investor. When I heard about NEM, I got really excited and wanted to be part of a New Economy Movement.
When I checked my BTT account after investing BTC, around 4 to 5 months later, my message was removed from the topic
where you had to send your trxID of the investment made.
When I send a message about this I had to make several printscreens of the message that I've got on BTT and
from the account where I've send my BTC from.
I did and they told me that I wouldn't be getting my stake, but I could get a refund.
Offcourse I don't want a refund as I'm an early investor and want to be part of the NEM movement.
Especially when my investment became worth more money.
The reason why I was removed, was that I've send my BTC from an exchange, something that wasn't allowed and I've misread in the topic. My friends who also invested didn't have these problems when they've send their NXT or BTC from an exchange. As I invested as last of them, there was no need to question this, so I invested, normally I'm a bit anxious investing on forums.
As there will be a lot of unclaimed stakes as well as accounts which are discussed in the other topic.
With all the proof of my made investment I hope everybody thinks it's right to have a vote for my stake in stead of a refund on my investment which is so much more worth at this point.
I would be very grateful, in the end I made an investment which could build this movement we are all trying to create here. Please let's not make this technicality a reason to handle an early investor with a refund.
Thank you for voting in advance.
Warm regards
How can you prove that it was YOU who sent the bitcoins? I could say it was me not you. You get the point?
In your other thread (https://forum.ournem.com/index.php?topic=2397.msg4884#msg4884) it is all said.
What did you not understand?
Because I had to make high digital printscreens from the transaction from my exchange account. Which I did.
So we all came to the conclusion in the other thread that it is just a technicality. That I've send it from an exchange which I already proved to everybody on BTT.
What is there not to understand that a vote seems only fair, because I'm still an early investor, just send the money through an exchange, you had my money all the time and started NEM with it.
How did you prove that it was you who sent the BTT?
Again: A screenshot is no proof. Do you want me to "prove" you that I send you 1,000,000 BTC? Just give me your BTC address
I could send another amount from that same account. Really easy right?
Why did you think it had to be high Quality printscreens in the beginning. And why did they ask for that in the first place then, if it's , as you say, untracable?
I'm getting fed up with people making fun of me here, while I'm an early investor and like you guys here to build a new economy based movement.
I didn't ever ask you to show a screenshot from anything and I have no idea why somebody ever did. It helps nothing.
But we are discussing in two threads the same thing now, so I think we should switch to this again:
https://forum.ournem.com/index.php?topic=2397.msg7270#msg7270
And lock this thread please.
No, an exchange does not always use the same withdrawal address and that's why this is an issue. You can try, and depending on the exchange it MIGHT work. If it does, then that could theoretically be proof but I can't promise anything myself.
This only proves that Latifa has an account on that exchange, it does not prove that any transaction made in past was her.
If it is true that anybody who has an account at that exchange (which btw?) could sign a message with these sender addresses mentioned before, then there is no chance for you Latifa.
I didn't know that there are exchanes who allow signing.
Well an exchange always uses the same withdrawel adress right?
I could sign a message aswell yes. Is there a dev that could verify if this is the way to verify my adress?

I removed the other thread because this discussion has moved here (and the original topic was not really "NEM news" anyway).
There is no voting in the other one, so that one should be closed. Allthough there was another thread on Bitcointalk where I had to show the printscreens. Why? Because I had to prove the post was removed and to understand why this had been done without sending a private message to warn me about this.
So that means you kept my money and stayed quiet, which is why we tried to find out what exactly happened.
We found out that it was removed because it took some time to get the trxID from the exchange and then I found out I couldn't invest by sending through an exchange.
Now I made the investment and it seems very weird not to give my stake just because I've send the trxID a little later, it had to be processed and couldn't help that.
Every early investor of NEM made it possible for NEM to grow, I even did promotion in my network to get more NEMsters. I think everybody can vote here, to see what's honoust. I am a NEM enthouisast and my early investment made it possible for you guys to create this community.
We are all in this together so I hope everybody will see this technicality doesn't have to be a reason not to give my stake. There are enough unclaimed stakes and I've been busy with this for months now.
Kind regards.
Latifa, please stop repeating over and over again what is already said.
This is the summery of what happened:
- The NEM developers announced that people can by stakes, payable via Bitcoin.
- It was said that the tx id has to be posted within 10 minutes after the transaction.
- It was said that an exchange can not be used for buying a stake.
- You used an exchange to (try to) buy a stake.
- You did not post a tx id within 10 minutes.
- You waited some month till you checked in again and saw you were not on the stakeholder list.
- NEM developers explained for you why you are not on the stakeholder list and told that you can be refunded.
- You refused a refund and started a discussion as seen in this thread.
The problem is NOT that anybody here doesn't want you as a stakeholder. Please understand that. Everybody who really believes in NEM wants as many stakeholders as possible, because that is something that helps NEM grow. So please stop implying that the developers took your money and don't want to give you a stake now. That is not how it is and it is not fair to say it like that.
The problem is that you can not prove that the transaction from the exchange was you. Stop ignoring that fact. Because that is the point!

I"m not saying you are not giving my money back, nor did I refused the refund. I did already send patmaster a message to get my money back. Offcourse, otherwise I'm not getting anything at all and only gave you money.
I can prove I send it from that account. I can send a high quality picture from my computer which you can see I made the transaction. (This is what I had to do on the bitcoinforum:)
[link]https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=650500.msg7945499#msg7945499[/link]
If I send another amount to the same account, from the same account then it's obvious it's me.
The whole problem was about the trxID and exchange, not that I don't own the account, which I do.
So I can prove that actually!
If the only proof is a print screen, this won't work. Too much time and resources will be required to validate that proof.
Proving that you can send from that address is not the answer. With a "doctored" print screen" anyone can proof the same.
Buy a NEM Stake is you believe so much in NEM.

Offcourse I will. So do I send some BTC to this adress from the adress where I've send it from?
1Lk5Paws9T1YpoSeLeZT7ZeSQKW7UNq4TJ
How do you want to do it if it is not your adress but from an exchange?
Btw: As I see it you could also sign a message to prove that you own the sender address. But please don't get me wrong. I'm not somebody who can decide if you finally get a stake. I'm just trying to clarify this situation. The final decision is up to the core devs I guess.
Well an exchange always uses the same withdrawel adress right?
I could sign a message aswell yes. Is there a dev that could verify if this is the way to verify my adress?
If you sent it from an exchange then you dont OWN the address that the exchange used,
therefore you cant sign a message with this address,
therefore you cant prove that you actually sent this.
The original post on BTT stated very clearly to not use Exchange addresses.
If you sent it from an exchange then you dont OWN the address that the exchange used,
therefore you cant sign a message with this address,
therefore you cant prove that you actually sent this.
That's what I think.
Well @Latifa: Sign this message "Hello. This is for proving that I own the address." and post it here.
I was on holiday!
Ok, could a dev react to this please. What am I supposed to do now? Do I, or do I not send money to an account from my Exchange account. If that's not the solution, which is? I'm not the only one who thinks it's fair that I should get my invested stake.
