Working here.
So if i wanted to change my public ip to a DNS name is there a way to do that?
Open config.properties in you servants directory and search for the nem.host field.
Place your DNS name like this:
nem.host = goliath.bounceme.net
I guess that’s what u wanted to know?
To upgrade to the latest servant version, users of the nem-docker can simply do:
./stop.sh
docker rmi mynem_image
./boot.sh
If you followed the documentation of the scripts and put your config files in custom-configs
, your config files are reused without any other manipulation needed.
Hi Ryan, not sure if this is the answer you are looking for or not, but the IP for the supernode program that you enter into the config files is the IP of your server/computer.
@Trollolllo: Means either servant is not running or old version is running.or port 7880 is not open.
How long does it take to see results on supernodes.nem.io?
I already can see my node there, but no test results. Servant is running for ~12 hours now
Thanks
Tests run every 6 hours and from what I’ve seen it takes a day or two for your tests to actually make any sense.
My first 4-5 tests all failed 100% while now i’m passing all of them.
So just give it some time
Sure i will even if i’m not that patiently
Just wanted to make sure everything is fine, thanks
I run new version,and portt 7880 is open. http://supernodes.nem.io/details/22
As you can see, servant is running, only my upload speed is too slow a.t.m.
@Trollollo: http://188.195.68.225:7880/nr/metaData/ does not show any response. So there is something wrong with the servant.
@jabo38 I updated the servent config and restarted. waited 6 hours and it is still showing the public ip and not the new dns name. Thats my end goal because I am planning to move my supernode to a different data center which will be changing ips.
Where is it showing the public ip and not the new dns name?
@ryan_Todd: what do you expect? That the entry in the database gets modified if you change the servant config? That won’t happen. Once the enroll message is send, the entry in the database is there is stays as it is, unless it is changed manually. I can do that. But since you have to prove that it is your node, you have to send a message with the desired domain name from the account that you used for enrolling. Please send that message to the account

Reply here once you have done that.
Thanks. I just was hoping for non disruption when transferring my supernode around to different data centers.
